These are pictures that were taken October 2010. This is my first time getting my hair straighted after my Big Chop which was in July 2010, so now October 2010 I am 1 year and 6 months of natural hair growth (last relaxer April 12, 2009). Enjoy!

Hey

Its me again. I know what you are going to say "didn't you say you were going to post daily?" Yes I said it but I got so busy and just didn't have as much time. This time I promise I will do better.

So this past week I went back to an oldie but goodie: Nexuss Humectress...I think I spelled that right.. anyways this conditioner has worked well for my in the past as a deep conditioner as well as a styler instead of gels and my husband likes to use this in his hair aswell. I really like this product. Its a bit pricey but the fact that it can be used in differnt ways reduces the amount of other products that I would have to buy. If you havn't tried it you should....

TwistOut- May2010 13 months Post Realxer

Hey!

This was my go to style when I was transitioning. These Pictures where taken mid-May which was 1 year and 1 month since my last relaxer. I must say that my was doing great. It was very manageable and no breakage. I think I was doing everything right.

The first pics where how I set my twist and what they look like after taking them down. My routine is to:
1. Co-Wash w/ Herbal Essence Hello Hydration
2. Deep Condition with Cholesterol or Jane Carter Solution
3. Leave-In Jane Carter
4. Shea Butter and Eco Styler to set my twists.

UpDo

So as I promised I am back today with another update. But instead of revealing my Big Chop Photos I thought that I show you what was going on before I finally chopped it off. Here is an updo style that I done when my rollerset did not come out b/c it did not dry completely.

Transition - Months 11 !!!

I am now in Month 11 of my Transition to 100% Natural Hair! Yes, I made it. I wanted to transition for 12 months but I think I will go a little longer. I think I might just wait until I hit 1 year and 6 months or maybe even 2 years! This time around transitioning has been a breeze. This style below is a braidout which is my go to style. It does a great job at blending my relaxed hair with my 4b hair.

Currently I've been using products by Jane Carter Solutions:

1. Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner
2. Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner
3. Wrap & Roll (Setting Foam)

As far as my shampoo I am still on the look out for a good one, right now I have a travel size bottle of Giovanna Tea Tree Shampoo, I luv the Tingle but I hate the stiff feeling my hair has after shampooing. I will continue to try the Travel Size shampoos until I find one that I like. :-)

Much LUV,
