Protective Style- Micros

I decided that I needed a break from doing my hair so I installed some micros at the end of Feb so in this pic that I took this past weekend they are a little over a month old. I am very happy how they came out.

I am gonna keep these in until Mid April which will be my 2 year anniversary from my last relaxer and about 9month after the big chop. I am so excited to see my progress.

Luving my Hair

I am absolutely luving my hair right now. Currently I style my hair every 2 days. I normally wear a curly fro for the begining of the week and then I wear a twist out on the weekend. I switch it up to make sure that I don't get board. These days my hair is feeling really soft and silky. I done a hot oil pre-treatment a couple weeks ago and my hair have been reaping the benefits ever since. I think I will start to incorporate a hot oil pre-treatment once a month and see how that goes. I know that my styles will last longer but I like a fresh do. I am gonna try some curls and see how long they can last.

So my plan is to put some individual box braids in at the end of the Month and keep them for about 30 days just to give myself a little break.

Wash and Go

This was a Wash and Go style that I gone on 12-10-2010.

The Night before I washed, conditioned, and applied Eco Styler Gel in sections. Then I allowed my hair to dry for about an hour and went to bed. The Next morning I got up and stuck my head under the shower for about 5 seconds and the curls "popped" right out and I was ready to go, so guess this would be more of a wet and go, hehe ;-D
